Advises clients on tax compliance and planning services working with individuals and companies to improve upon their tax position.
Primarily serves clients in the Oil & Gas, Ranching, Hospitality, and Real Estate industries. Extensive experience in Property & Casualty and Reinsurance industry
Began his Accounting career with Arthur Andersen & Company, Chicago, IL Tax Department. Founded Dana P Engelstad & Company CPA’s, in Midland, Texas, in 1983 which merged with Johnson, Miller & Co PC CPA’s in 1989.
Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Currently serves as Trustee and President of the Permian Basin Foundation for Mental Health and Mental Retardation and serves as Trustee on the Executive Committee for the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame, Fredericksburg, VA. Past Chair of the Midland Chamber of Commerce Leadership Midland Program, Past Treasurer and Executive Committee of the Midland United Way and the Midland Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Earned his BA (English Literature) from The University of South Dakota, and BA (Economics)(cum laude) and BA (Accounting)(cum laude) from North Carolina State University.
Served as a commissioned US Army Officer (Viet Nam Era) 1971 – 1974.
Dana will serve as principal deal-maker.
